One-year-old dog Nanuq lost for a month while he was out hunting. The Australian shepherd made it over the ice of the Bering Sea after traveling 150 miles along Alaska’s western shore.

People in Wales discovered the dog, and they posted some pictures of him online in the hopes that someone might identify him. Fortunately, Mandy Iworrigan, the dog’s owner, was able to reconnect with him after seeing the pictures. Iworrigan said that it seems Nanuq was transported off the ice while out hunting and landed up in Wales.

Nanuq has bite marks and a swollen leg, but otherwise she’s in good condition. Finally, Nanuq was reunited with his owner, and the emotional reunion was captured on camera.
