Any horse that produces twins is a wonder. But take a moment to read the story that comes after this.

Although it may not seem like much to some of you, a 16-year-old horse gave birth is a very rare occurrence. Tiki, a sixteen-year-old American Paint horse, got pregnant with twins. To everyone’s amazement, the ultrasound plainly indicated that she will give birth to twins.

Ten minutes after her labor started, she gave birth to a 59-pound filly called Charming Opal and an 86-pound stallion foal named Woodcock Pocket. The filly outperformed the stallion in strength despite her smaller stature. Tiki is a remarkable mother since she looked after both of her young foals, something that most moms only do for one of them.
